"Mr. Bean's Holiday" is no vacation. It has not one good gag or scene resulting in a frustrating bore that quickly wears out its welcome.

To be honest I think the TV series of Mr. Bean and the 1997 film Bean was ten times better than Mr. Bean's Holiday. The movie had some funny parts in it and Rowan Atkinson was good has always, but there was a lot of good films that came out the same times has this movie and I would watch those than this.

I hated the 1997 Mr. Bean film for its pointless side characters and complete lack of plot or humor. This film is, surprisingly, pretty enjoyable. I think the more direct plot, likable international characters (I really liked the fact that the film doesn't Hollywoodize things by having all the characters speak English and that the three main characters who end up traveling together for most of the film have camraderie without really speaking the same language), and beautiful setting helps make this a far superior and separate Bean film from the 1997 atrocity.

Better than the firs Bean movie. This one is more in line with the TV show, while still offering something new for the character.

This is pretty Mr. Bean being Mr. Bean... in France. It's nothing spectacular, but if you still like the old Bean, you'll pretty much like the new Bean - same humor, different setting.
