Mystery was nice, it very well describes how age of reason begins and all that is good, but in my opinion this kind of film can never be really great

While it is an undeniably clunky affair, 'The Name of the Rose' succeeds at being a simultaneously intriguing and disturbing depiction of life in a 14th-century monastery.
