As an interesting historical drama, the film mostly works. Throw in some great humorous moments, strong acting from a young Christian Bale, and the catchy and inimitable soundtrack, and the film becomes that much better.

I didn't like about half of the boys actors here (especially the cringe worthy character 'Crutchy'). However, this is an average musical that easily passes the time.

A great movie about Newsies. Lots of good songs and big dance numbers. The story is good as well. Also, young Christian Bale who is adorable.

This is a great movie and I don't know why I don't own this one yet. This was my 1st introduction to hottie Christian Bale. This moive also has a great soundtrack too. I reccomend this to any Disney or musical fan.
