It certainly isn't the best Edward Norton movie. But, it's not bad. I enjoyed it, for the most part.

Overall, this film failed miserably. Great actors like Naomi Watts and Edward Norton seemed to be making their way through this film with little effort. However, Toby Jones really stood out. Also, the music by Alexandre Desplat was superb and this movie made me aware of him.

There's a general familiar and meandering feeling throughout this gorgeously-shot drama, though it's hard as hard to get past as the miscasting of leading actor Edward Norton; Naomi Watts does a lot with an underwritten role. FInal Grade: C+

I wasn't expecting much from the movie because I didn't really know anything about it. A friend of mine is obsessed with Edward Norton and she really wanted to see it so I did, too. I'm glad I saw this film because it's not your typical let's-go-to-a-foreig n-land-and-learn-a-le sson kind of movie. Underneath all the beautiful cinematography and set, this film is about revenge. Although the movie moves quite slowly, when the credits start rolling, one will (or should) appreciate it for what it is.

Both hubby and I enjoyedthis one. Beautiful scenery. Nice love story and the end just makes you grin..
