John Woo is a talented action director. But here it almost seems like he wanted to be Michael Bay for a day. The setpieces aren't very memorable and the plot is a prepackaged pile of genre cliches. Granted, the parts where Affleck's character has to sit down and think about his own memory do have a slight charm to them. Uma Thurman is bland as the love interest while Aaron Eckhart yucks it up as the villain. It's best thought of as a lowrent mix between Total Recall and Minority Report.

Let's see. You take a portion of Total Recall and a touch of Terminator 2, add a soupcon of Memento, simmer for 90 minutes and you get...a really lame rip off of Minority Report. At end of the day, it's impossible to care about two characters you know absolutely nothing about, apart from they're supposed to be "the good guys". Especially if one of them's Ben Affleck.

High concept sci-fi film that contains a good amount of action. Not very deep, but still provides some average entertainment.

A dud of a thriller that mishandles the smart premise and instead produces a series of clumsy action scenes. Affleck is unconvincing in the role and Aaron Eckhart makes more a mostly boring villain.

An all right movie from a good action director. Ben Affleck is certainly game enough to play the hero here, but Aaron Eckhart tries way too hard to be sinister, all he's missing is a mustache to twirl. It does take way too long to get to the point of the story and it's understandable if people check out by then. Some good action scenes, the story is serviceable enough, Uma Thurman, however, is completely miscast.

A dumb action movie that has an idea that could have been interesting but fails to use what it had. I t has standard action sequences none which are very memorable. Its idea is interesting but not fully explained what universe this world takes place in exactly, but the knowing the future aspect could have been good but does not work.

I'm not a fan of John Woo's films -- they're always too much and over the top. However, the premise of the movie is good -- an interesting plot.

What is the motivation of the actors? a big fat paycheck of course. It was awful.

An interesting idea ruined by too much extrapolation and not enough chemistry between the leads. I do like how all those random objects eventually have a use - but getting around to it all seems more like punishment than entertainment.
