The perfect time to not to die. This movie takes a sweet time for the movie to move a long, I mean the ending to this movie was very sad but the movie has some slow pasting.

Some of the dramatic scenes are a little cheesy and the acting over-directed, but the film's portrayal of fearsome waves and winds is the real highlight. Some of the big budget storm scenes are wrought with a combination of tension and awe.

Typical Hollywood-ized version of a real event. Still, the special effects are pretty good and the acting, while far too heavy on the emotional side, is still decent. An okay, if not particularly memorable, adventure.

If this was not a true story, I would have given this movie half a star. The acting was pretty decent, but I could not get past how much the sloppy emotion the director tried to unsuccessfully put into this movie...Yawn...

A very original movie. The friendship, love and family that these fishermen share makes this movie what it is. The acting is also superb.
