A sub-par remake that does nothing but serve a few funny slapstick moments.

Merde. I kind of liked Steve Martin's expressions some of the time, which is why I even bothered renting this at all. But several scenes could have done better. Like when Jean Reno and Steve Martin are supposed to be background dancers for Beyonce, as long as the whole film was unbelievable, they might have actually been able to dance. But the whole film was really disappointing. Also, Beyonce can act, but if this the only film you see with her in it, you may not believe that she can.

The Pink Panther is a dumb comedy that doesn't have much to offer. The story is stupid and boring. The writing is plain and fails to offer laughs. The Acting is also terrible. Steve Martin is annoying as Inspector Clouseau, he seems to be trying to hard for laughs. Kevin Kline is also bad as the chief, Possibly worse then Steve Martin. Beyonce Knowles isn't even in the film much, although, she's now typecast for playing a singer or singing, in every movie she does. Jean Reno is the best thing in this film. The only funny parts(in my opinion) are Closeau attempting to learn English, trying to park a car and later attempting karate. This film is not worth your time.

Insanely obvious and ridiculous remake with Steve Martin mugging his way through it all; idiotic approach may invoke the spirit of the Peter Sellers original, but it could've done without the bad accents. And Kevin Kline is no Herbert Lom. Final Grade: C-
