There's no one else who could capture Howard Stern's controversial and vulgar personality better than Stern himself.

I never understood the appeal of Howard Stern, and this auto-biographical comedy doesn't make me any more interested. It is entertaining, but it's also a bit biased. It works, but I don't feel it's anything really special.

OK, so it's a little self indulgent, but what do you expect from Howard Stern? The movie takes the sensibility you know and love from listening to the radio show and takes it to the big screen. My only complaint was that they didn't include the origins of Baba Booey or Jackie Martling (Gary only appears in between scenes, and Jackie just shows up one day in the studio). Hopefully one day they will do a sequel showing Howard's ongoing battles with the FCC and eventual move to satellite radio (they may have to get a "thin" actor to play sidekick Artie Lange towards the end of the KROCK days, I hear Ralphie May is available). I'd recommend this to anyone who is even a casual Howard Stern fan.
