I don't know why this movie is rated low elsewhere. I love Marie Trintignant in this even though her role is brief, and it strangely mirrors (SPOILER) her own violent and untimely death. Francois Berleand is also charmingly creepy in this. Other than that, yes, this may appear at first glance to be one of those horror movies where a bunch of young people are stuck in a creepy house. But it ended up being pretty worthwhile.
