Pollacks adaptation of the Warren Adler novel is a long but meditative drama about marriage and adultery in the aftermath of a terrible airplane accident. Harrison Ford delivers a good performance. He is one of the few leading man to show vulnerability without sacrificing his stoicism. Kristin Scott Thomas does fine. It's a tasteful film for the most part but it does allow for some steamy moments.
