I don't know what it is about these CGI Disney animated features, but they tend to seem rather generic when compared to classical 2-D works. "Tangled" is charming enough, but it's nowhere near incredible.

Throwback to the princess tales of Disney Animation's past. It captures the spirit of those films, while also being new and modern. The animation is stunning, the voice-work is great, and the story/humor couldn't be better. The music is well performed, but none of the songs are particularly memorable. It's a fun fairy tale that can easily entertain all ages.

The music in this is sort of bad, but the movie as a whole is still pretty good.

While I can't say it will replace Beauty and the Beast or Little Mermaid as my favorites, Tangled is one of the stronger Disney films in recent memory. It's the story and characters that really shine - not to mention the animation. The voices are spot on and only the so-so songs keep this from being an even bigger hit.

Disney hits it out of the park with Tangled, a surprisingly strong film that puts its usual princess-in-distress in a new light. The animation is very strong (the lantern scene being one of the best I've seen in animation), the voice-over cast (particularly Donna Murphy as the overbearing "mother") is solid, and the story is pretty good. If there's one negative aspect, it's that some of the songs aren't very strong and get in the way of the story. It's tough to say if this will stand up as one of Disney's classics, but in a strong year for animation, Tangled ranks as one of 2010's best.

The film starts a little slowly and standardly, but the magic that rushes through many of the Disney films of the 1990's is back in this one. There are some extremely beautiful sequences, particularly the lantern scene, and the songs and score are equally charming.

This was an absolute joy to watch! If you enjoy films like Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin, then this movie is for you! It's quality is right up there with them. The visuals in this are stunning, especially the lantern scene. It follows the classic Disney style mixing drama, romance, and comedy in a way that the whole family can enjoy. If Disney keeps making films like this, it will soon be back up at the top of the animation market again. Truly a classic!
