The plot's as wild as a stallion and almost too weird, but that's what makes it so tough to ignore as a satirical take on Reagan-era America. Like "Escape from New York" with a punk slant.

This unconventional cult classic has some interesting segments and quirky characters. But it kind of just goes all over the place.

80's urban punk flick, fused with an odd comedic sensibility and contains a sci-fi side plot. Scenes flow in a non-linear fashion until the two plots combine in the finale. It's a weird sendoff with no real conclusion, but it works for this type of film. Some see a corny facade hiding political and other themes. All I see is an eccentric and mildly entertaining cult movie.

I gotta say, I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this movie. But, I really enjoyed it. I love how, at the end, it uses that wonderful 80's special effects. lol. But, seriously, it's a damn good movie.

I could not stand this movie, as it came off to be a try hard mainstream movie, that wasn't funny. Not to mention I can't stand sci-fi. Don't bother watching this unless your a teenage boy who enjoys movies like The Matrix. Otherwise, it will just be a waste of your time.

A product of the 80s for sure, but this is fun romp with great scenes of urban decay and crime, a critique of religion and a healthy dose of atomic fear. Sure, it looks dated, but cult films will never die.
