One powerful, well acted, well directed movie. Dark and deeply disturbing look at the Holocaust but with a moving and emotional focus on the amazing and heroic actions of one man.

Too many holocaust movies actually desenstize me to it. Also, black and white seem more like a cinematic fashion statement for Spielberg, not as far off from ET as many believe.

What really bothered me about this is that Steven Spielberg did not let Billy Wilder direct this. He was like a baby saying, no it's mine, mine. Anyway I dislike this movie because it is cold and impersonal. SS did it for the awards. Sure he got it, but it is soulless and he lost a fan.

I've watched this movie wen I was 15. The in my late 20s, since is in probably my top 10 best movies ever. I know is obvious why I might considered the best movie of the past 20 years. But I don't care. Finest score by Williams EVER, with LOTR and Godfather, best adaptation from book ever and the best Spielberg. Awesome movie. Almost a documentary, that should be seen for everyone.

I don't think it's possible not to be changed after viewing this film. It's not an easy film to watch, but it wasn't meant to be. The images stay with you, making the Holocaust more than just a chapter in some history book - making it real.

Impossible to forget. This movie takes the terrible truth about the Holocaust and forces you to understand it. It is this realization of horror that makes this more than just a movie.

Definitely one of the top 10 movies ever made, with the use of b/w we are engrossed in the time period and the torture that the Jews had to deal with, not to mention what a great man Schindler was.
