FROM THE BIG SCREEN:
"Aladdin (2019)": Live-action adaptation of the studio's animated classic, in which a kind-hearted street urchin and a power-hungry Grand Vizier vie for a magic lamp that has the power to make their deepest wishes come true. Try as he might, Will Smith just can't compete with Robin Williams, who provided the voice for the Genie in the 1992 version. The direction is a bit weak -- Guy Ritchie, better known for his slam-bang action adventures, is just too rough for this kind of fable. Still, the flick is delightful eye candy -- and made a lot of money. Co-stars Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, and Numan Acar. Blu-ray extras include Aladdin’s Video Journal: A New Fantastic Point Of View"; deleted song: “Desert Moon”; "Guy Ritchie: A Cinematic Genie"; "A Friend Like Genie"; six deleted scenes; bloopers; three music videos: "Speechless" by Naomi Scott, “A Whole New World” by ZAYN and Zhavia Ward and A Whole New World” (“Un Mundo Ideal”) by ZAYN and Becky G. From Disney.

Jim Jarmusch is a genre-bending director, deconstructing then rebuilding such cinema stables as the Western ("Dead Man"), the romance ("Broken Flowers"), and the vampire film ("Only Lovers Left Alive"). In "The Dead Don't Die" he takes on zombies with an amazing cast including Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tom Waits, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, RZA, Larry Fessenden, Rosie Perez, Carol Kane, Tilda Swinton, Sara Driver, Iggy Pop and Selena Gomez. The peaceful town of Centerville finds itself battling a zombie horde as the dead start rising from their graves in the black comedy riff on zombie films, politics and pop culture. Extras include "Bill Murray: Zombie Hunting Action Star"; "Behind-the-Scenes of The Dead Don’t Die"; "Stick Together": Jim Jarmusch’s frequent collaborators talk about his filmmaking style, and what makes "The Dead Don’t Die" stand out from other zombie films. From Universal.

"John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum": In this third installment of the adrenaline-fueled action franchise, skilled assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) returns with a $14 million price tag on his head and an army of bounty-hunting killers on his trail. After killing a member of the shadowy international assassin's guild, the High Table, John Wick is excommunicado, and the world's most ruthless hit men and women await his every turn. There's plenty of the mayhem and violence that have made this series so popular -- and fun to watch. Wick takes his beatings and keeps on ticking to dispense the bad guys just the way we want them -- brutally. The action choreography is top-notch and Reeves fits into Wick's skin perfectly. A very enjoyable outing. Co-stars Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Marc Dacascos, Asia Kate Dillon, Lance Reddick, Anjelica Huston and Ian McShane. Extras include “Parabellum: Legacy of the High Table” featurette; “Excommunicado” featurette; theatrical trailers; "John Wick Hex Game" trailer; “Behind the Scenes of John Wick Hex” featurette. Blu-ray adds “Check Your Sights” featurette; “Saddle Up Wick” featurette; “Bikes, Blades, Bridges, and Bits” featurette; “Continental in the Desert” featurette; “Dog Fu” featurette; “House of Transparency” featurette; “Shot by Shot” featurette.
