A mildly amusing old fashioned sex comedy that's far fluffier than much of Wilder's other work. Marilyn is always memorable though and it features one of her most iconic images.

Richard Sherman: "Oh no. Not today".
The story to The Seven Year Itch is about a New Yorker Richard Sherman (Tom Ewell) ships his wife, Helen (Evelyn Keyes), and their son off to Maine for vacation. Richard's wife and son goes for a vacation while he meets his voluptuous blond neighbor. Well scored, sincere acting and brilliant screenplay. So many quotable lines from Dr. Brubaker - "l strongly advise you to avoid anything so complex. One must learn to walk before one can run." and Richard: "Life can be beautiful, Miss Morris." "Let's go home and enjoy the simple things." and "I love my wife." The Seven Year Itch is somewhat ahead of its time in terms of being a comedy. It relies on probable situations, provocative dialogue and realistic situations on temptations …
