Well written, but flawed comedy/thriller. Mirren outdoes herself in the lead role, however. Holmes should give up acting.

Originally titled "Killing Mrs. Tingle" this movie was forced to change the title after the whole incident with Columbine, they thought that any thing with the idea of violence against teachers was a big deal and that there shouldn't be anything that could give any bad ideas to other kids. The movie itself was ok, it really wasn't great though. Katie Holmes played the same kind of character that she always seems to play, although this time without a really established cast behind her, it really didn't hold as well. The movie could have been a lot better. If you want to see something that has a much better storyline, and is just better over all go see Apt Pupil.

Mirren is leagues above the material but she gives it a much needed weight that feels menacing without mugging the camera too much. And not gonna lie, she's got this 'Mrs Robinson' thing going on that is kind of hot.
It's too bad the rest of the movie plays it safe for the most part. There is a recurring bit with a crossbow that is pretty funny. Echoing a similar group dynamic in the 'SCREAM' movies, Katie Holmes is the Neve Campbell of the movie except she's less interesting. Barry Watson is …
