Plot: Jim Deakins - frontiersman and Indian trader - is on a journey up the Missouri River with a group of men, looking to trade with the friendly Blackfoot tribe for a large amount of furs. Yet the trip takes them through hostile territory and the men have underestimated the challenges. Rowdy western adventure about trappers into Indian territory. Kirk Douglas plays the wily leader of the band. Howard Hawks' direction is fine but the b&w cinematography is shoddy for a 1950s release.
