Although conspicuously more dated than its 1940 remake "His Girl Friday," "The Front Page" is still a snappy little comedy with a pioneering sense of cynicism towards the world of journalism.

The Front Page is a well written film of the screwball comedy play. With some okay performances, as well as okay everything else. The story, and dialogue though make it good, even though this film always fails in comparison to the superior remake His Girl Friday. I can't quite recommend this film, because I would always say watch the remake instead, but this film certainly is still good.
