This was a very good movie. It wasn't at all predictable, and it was extremely funny. It has a tinge of racism though with Mantan Moreland's character. And, the plot was excellent.

A sprightly comedy with good lead performances, though the suddenly developed love triangle is preposterous and Robert Cumming's character transformations make no sense; Laughton and Durbin are a fine combo. Final Grade: B
