I knew literally nothing about this movie going in and was blown away. In a frankness and in harsh black and white that mirrors the Neorealistic era of filmmaking, this is a story of crime, police tension, and poverty on the streets of France. It's in your face, bold, and unforgettable.

A fantastic, gripping, powerful movie about the immigrants living in France and police brutality. Must see, and wonderfully shot in black and white. Some people don't get it, realy cinephiles do...brilliant

On the cover it has a quote from Jodie Foster saying this movie rocked her world. I didn't get it, but then it's just me.

"The world is ours..How you fall doesn't matter...its how you land." Vinz, Sayid and Hubert encounter a variety of cops and meets Snoopy. With names like these who wouldn't be interested in seeing a film like this? Engaging from start to end except for some idle scenes. It starts with Sayid and Vinz getting together and picking up Hubert. The film moves when the characters move. Soundtrack was fair but the camera direction and editing was superb. Vinz was the most enjoyable character but is really hot tempered and the tough but righteous Hubert serves as a perfect compliment. A simple yet powerful picture because of its authenticity, acting and intellectual screenplay. So many quotable lines such as: "In school we learned: hate breeds hate.!" "Does God believe in us?"
