Two boys who couldn't be more different are brought together by a mutual love of cinema and a desire to emulate their favorite action movie icon. This movie is enjoyable and it reminds me of my childhood a little bit.

Son of Rambow was brilliant. This grossly underrated British indie will (I hope) go on to become a cult classic forever endearing itself with viewers. Son of Rambow is about two kids trying to make a movie but things spin wildly out of control when they get unwanted attention. Now this may seem like another lame attempt at fun children's movie. Let me assure you this is not. With cocaine smoking, vulgar language, and violence due to the showing of clips from actual Rambo movie (the misspelled title is due to the main character's inability to spell Rambo) Overall Son of Rambow is a heartwarming film full of fun and advise anyone to see it.

Fun little move about kids being kids and learning through experiences. Takes sidesteps to avoid being a mediocre coming-of-age film and puts the Rambo factor to good use. Funny, enjoyable and appealing to all age groups.

More Than Just Cute

It seems I automatically movies that has something to do with the characters’ love for the cinema. This is not as intense as “The Dreamers” nor is it as adult-inclusive as “Be Kind Rewind” but it has its own witty charm. I was really impressed with the two leads, Bill Milner and Will Poulter, because they were able to deliver a whole spectrum of emotions not common in a lot of child actors today. I completely believed Milner as a lonely boy who barely has any friends partly because of his religious background and Poulter as the bully who happens to have a family that doesn’t care for each other. The first half is a bit goofy but nonetheless funny, but the second half surprised me because it’s much more dramatic and there’s a lot at stake. I’m glad that this is the kind …
