Classic anti-establishment biker movie that starts out well enough but fizzes out a little in the second act. It regains traction in the third act. Marlon Brando is fine in his starmaking role. Mary Murphy is appropriately chaste as his winsome love interest. Lee Marvin is funny as Brando's chief rival. The underlying "think of the children' moralizing gets pretty hokey fast. The biker gang themselves look ridiculous now and too silly to be taken seriously. But it still has some solid moments of fine acting by Brando.

You know, after watching a couple of Brando's movies, I have to say that it appears that the only really good one he did was the Godfather. Because, every other one of his that I've seen have been very lack-luster. But, I will continue to give him second chances. Afterall, this movie does have a few good qualities to it.
