Pleasant and enjoyable but that's it.

A good film about a priest who opens a home to take care of boys who are living poorly. The film type seemed to be fairly common back in this time of the different boys with their problems. Although no single part of the film is brilliant in any way it is pleasant to watch through the film. It is not a great film but I enjoyed watching it enough, it has a sort of nostalgia quality to it that you do not see in film these days. An interesting note is this film is like Angels with dirty faces but in the priest point of view, both films came out the same year I guess the relations with priests and criminals was popular that year.
