Dodsworth is an interesting film involving a struggling marriage because the wife finds the husband no longer sophisticated enough. It is interesting and the characters are well written and played and the relationship seems very realistic. It is a good film but near the end where the wife just goes from one man to another it gets slightly redundant.

Perhaps I need to see this film again, by the underrated Wyler and oft-forgotten Ruth Chatterton. I thought it was pretty much a waste of film, but I had heard and I keep hearing how good it is, so I wonder if I was in a bad mood. I want to give it another chance soon.
