Even though I believe Grace Kelly was nominated for an Academy Award for this, this movie was extremely boring.

Not great but watch it for Bing Crosby

A film that I felt did work well enough to watch for one reason. A story that has its strengths involving the one reason that is quite effective and surprising actually. The thing that did not work was the tacked on love story between Holden and Kelly late in the film, it comes out of nowhere, and is pointless. The making of the play lacks importance, but the reason the film works is because of
Oscar Nominee Best Actor Bing Crosby 5/5- Crosby is just plainly superb as the down and out actor. He makes the film work. Watching his performance throughout the movie is what makes the movie work at all. He is far better than I ever expected for him ever to be. He gives the character great strength and realism and gives us a character to follow and see where he goes basically.
