The story is about a cabbie unwittingly becomes the protector of two extra-terrestrial siblings with paranormal abilities who are on the run from an organization that wants to use them for evil purposes. This movie has horrible CGI and the kid actors are annoying.

As far as family-friendly movies go, you could do a lot worse. Sure, the Rock isn't the most versatile actor, but the story is fun with enough action to keep things interesting. Cute without being too pandering.

I found Race to Witch Mountain to be very fun. Yes it is corny and a bit over the top, but personally I think the movie pulls it off. It has lots of fun action along with some cute family friendly banter. It is meant to be a family movie. You should keep that in mine when you watch it. Over all, fun!

"It's a race! It's a race!"

This movie is really good. Disney has come out with a movie everyone can enjoy. Even my parents liked it. They don't like anything. This movie gives the thrilling tale of 2 aliens that land on earth to seek out an object that may save earth, but they run into Jack Bruno (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and ask him to help complete there quest. Now the entire time at the beginning I was looking around for any signs of Witch Mountain...couldn't find it. Until they say that there ship is there. Ooooohhhhh. To be honest it was kinda anti-climatic for me. But it does not ruin the amazing job Andy Fickman and his team have done to this movie. The effects are well detailed to make things like Seth (Alexander Ludwig) to go through objects. This movie is a great movie, especially to take your kids to. …

The Rock should be called the STONE

I'm quite surprise that the Rock still accepts these type of roles. You know the ones which require zero acting chops. Well I’m not surprised that the Witch Mountain failed to bring IT. It meaning the feel of an adventure, the thrill of an epic and the heart of a Disney film. Probably the one and only scene I would remember from the movie would be the only thing interesting about it. You know, the scene which is the highlight of its trailer (a little bit reminiscent from a scene in Bolt). The rest of it (meaning everything else except that one scene) would just go straight to my brain’s recycle bin. Even the “alien kids” couldn’t hold an alien character to save their life. I believe everyone should just wait for this to come out on cable and that’s probably the best thing to …

The rock makes anything worse!  I wish he would just stick to wrestling.

Yep, my bro and I did the same thing with Escape to Witch Mountain.  This one has the Rock in it so I don't have any confidence.  Still, I can't stay away from Sci Fi's so I may have to see it!
