I find this to be just as good as the first, but in a different way. I had more fun with it, as a kid, because I like westerns.

Certainly not as fluid nor as "meangingful" in the American way was the original, "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West" is simply more appealing to children in a lot of ways. First, the story of Fievel wanting to become a cowboy is both humorous and adventurous, more "rough-and-tumble" as it were. A great family film that my children will grow up watching, no doubt. An hystiercal and dramatic view of life in the Old West as told through the eyes of Steven Speilberg.
