Cult classic about two slackers who travel back in time in order to avoid failing their history class. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are immediately endearing idiots. The sight gags and jokes aren't always funny. The one recurring gag that I enjoyed is that Bill and Ted are surprisingly verbose despite their established stupidity.

Funny, original, and charismatic, even if it's not as EXCELLENT! as it should've been.

"Party on dudes". Two likable dim-bulb rockers are on the verge of flunking out of school, but are given one last chance: an oral report on how historical figures would react to modern times. Enter Rufus, a time-traveler who reveals the music made by the two shapes the future and in order to keep things right, gives them a time machine to round up some of histories greatest figures for one righteous report. This movie was awesome and cool, the lines and the characters are so remediable you can say or act what they say or do.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure is as lowbrow and ridiculous as it sounds, which is all part of its appeal. A time travel comedy in a similar vein to Back To The Future except the affable dimwits in question travel throughout history to meet figures from history and transport them to modern California. There is little more to it than that, but its amusing sense of the absurd combined with the likeable leads makes it consistently amusing. The highlights all revolve around the likes of Socrates, Beethoven, Genghis Khan and Abraham Lincoln causing chaos in a contemporary shopping mall and the hilarious Valley speak …

A fun time with a little education

Two bonehead California high school students (Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves) are going to flunk out of school. Because of their grades, which rides on their grade on an oral report for History class, they might never live their dream of a hit band called Wyld Stalyns.
What they don't know is that if they flunk, it will change the history of the entire planet in a most heinous way.
With help from a time traveler from the future named "Rufus" (stand-up comic George Carlin), the two go throughout the past in a time machine designed to look like a public telephone booth. However, "Rufus" leaves the two to take their most excellent adventure on their own.
The two go to various points in time and abduct some famous figures from history. And they do it in a fun way for not only their …
