When college student Sara is assigned a new roommate in her dorm, it may lead to more than just clashing personalities as Rebecca proves much more dangerous when things go from bad to worse. This movie is a terrible mess of a film. I wanted some one to knock me out so I don't have to watch this horrible movie.

Sara Matthews (Minka Kelly) meets roommate Rebecca (Leighton Meester). Plot was ridiculous, acting unrealistic and storytelling just boring. It took so long for the story to move and we discover the reason, there was still no impact. The Roommate is a remake of an effective thriller, Single White Female, and unfortunately doesn't deliver in all aspects.

This is a movie that suprised you, well it did me anyway, and it also makes you think about the possibility that this could actually happen today. It really makes you wonder how many college student are this way if they don't take thier meds...i am gonna bet more then we know. Enjoy the show

Popular Sarah Matthews (Minka Kelly) is an innocent freshman getting ready to experience the dorms of college for the first time. She gets a roommate named Rebecca (Leighton Meester). Initially, the girls begin to bond despite Rebecca's penchant for being over-protective but then the reserved Rebecca becomes overly fixated with her. She becomes very jealous of Sarah's friend Tracy (Alyson Michalka) and her boyfriend Stephen (Cam Gigandet,) because she wants to be the only person that Sarah hangs out with. Blind to her roommate's glaring personality disorder, things go from weird to worse as her obsession for Sara grows and Rebecca tries to drive away anyone who could come between them. Watch out for Nina Dobrev and Katerina Graham of Vampire Diaries. Also nice see Billy Zane (Titanic) …
