On Stranger Tides is a better movie than the third movie "world's end". But this movie has a lot of slow and pointless scenes.

Yes, this movie is predictable. uninpredictable is impossible when it's part four. I don't care this movie has a lot to offer; action, humor an a sort of a story. We can not forget that Pirates of the Carebean put the pirate movies back on the map. And a lot of thanks go to Johnny.... Jack Spaarow is the pirate everyone wants to be.

this movie was quite boring at the beginning and then got a little better in the middle and ended up being not too bad, but these movies are getting too predictable, of course there was going to be a battle with the redcoats at the beginning and of course sparrow(johnny depp) was looking for something and of course someone else was looking for it as well. i dont know if i can honestly handle another one of these films, but rumors are that Tim Burton could direct the next film so he could add a little bit of a darker twist to these films which i definitely wouldnt be opposed to

Mindless Fun

You know what the world needs? More pirates. At least Disney thinks so. And the funny thing is; they may be on to something. Ignoring the less than enjoyable At World's End, The Pirates of the Caribbean films haven't been half bad. What was once considered a terrible and sure-to-fail idea by many has turned into a relatively fun franchise. On Stranger Tides, the fourth entry in the Pirates series, continues dishing out the mindless and entertaining joy of its predecessors, if slightly less consistently than in the first two films.
Summarized as simply as possible, On Stranger Tides continues the misadventures of Pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. This time, Jack is on the search for the Fountain of Youth. Things are, of course, complicated, when Jack runs across an old love named Angelica …

"POTC: On Stranger Tides" by Yojimbo

Captain Jack Sparrow returns to join a race against the Spanish Royal Navy, the newly commissioned Captain Barbossa and Blackbeard to find the fountain of youth. The latest instalment of the most popular franchise of modern times contains all the crowd pleasing ingredients you'd expect, but somehow this latest incarnation manages to completely fail to capture the magic that made the original film so much fun. It's basically just like a piratized version of National Treasure with some Harry Potter hoodoo and supernatural beasties thrown in as it lumbers from one bloated, joyless set piece to the next. Even Johnny Depp never gets the chance to strut his stuff, being pretty much relegated as he is to weak quips and mincing between one special effects overload after another and seems more …
