It's just a Larry the Cable Guy movie acted out by the cast of "Cars."

Cars 2 is what happens when you take a relatively solid idea for a martini espionage movie, make the protagonists sentient cars, and then merge the whole thing with Larry the Cable Guy's stand-up routine. It's CARcinogenic.

I totally agree with Chris Stuckmann on this movie.ightning McQueen, teamed with Mater, goes on an international tour to race some of the fastest cars in the world. This movie sucks with out no doubt, the movie felt boring and it lacks on the story which is a disappoint.

Pixar films are fantastic!

Before having my own children it was like squeezing water out of stone to get me to sit down and watch anything Disney had to offer. That was up until Pixar CGI animation studios was invented. Now i can't get enough of them and it's me folks...yes me that is actually dragging my kids to see it and not vice versa. Cars is no exception as i enjoyed it and found myself enjoying the second part all the more. This time round directors John Lasseter (Cars, A Bug's Life, Toy Story trilogy) and Brad Lewis (Cars 2, Ratatouie) bring a few new charectors to the mix as in an Indy car Francesco (voiced by John Turturro) who after teasing Mater (voiced this time by Larry The Cable Guy) challenges Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) to race him in a championship race in Francesco's home country of Italy. …

Solid Film, Even If It's Not Pixar's Finest

Okay, let me re-explain what you probably know; Cars 2 is widely being considered as Pixar's worst. This is true. It's also being widely considered as a bad film. This is not true. I personally believe this is another great film from Pixar, it just plunges a little more into the Dreamworks tub.

The story revolves around Mater, rather than Lightning McQueen, a mixed decision in my opinion. On one hand, Lightning McQueen is a bland character, with little personality. And Mater, while much more interesting and defined, is also extremely one dimensional, and that really shows when he becomes the star of the show.

Mater is mistaken as an American spy by two secret agents, Flinn McMissile and Holly Shiftwell. Mater then takes part in many missions, while the two secret agents have no …

Now with Brave, I could see myself going to it - looks like a great story with strong characters and Pixar has finally given the film to a female lead. I think Toy Story 4 would be a bad idea - as much as I enjoy the series, the third one wrapped things up nicely and I don't think it needs another film. Keep coming up with original ideas - it's movies like Up and Wall-E that help enforce the notion that animation isn't just a kids game anymore - sequels, not as much.

I didn't like the fact that Brad Bird had to be convinced to put in the Pizza Planet Toyota in The Incredibles. The truck was a blur in the film, but at least it was in there. If Brad will put the truck in an Incredibles 2, I would be happy to see it. I loved, loved, loved the first Cars movie, but I hate the premise for the sequel...international spies? Really? I have now heard that a Toy Story 4 is in the works. I guess with Toy Story 3 making over a billion dollars, it is understandable …

I think people are starting realize now that cars and cars 2 both suck (or are at least disappointing compared to the other Pixar films). No more sequels Pixar - only original!

I haven't seen the film yet, but if Pixar's history is any indication, the story for the film will be extremely touching and thought out. Here's some interesting news...John Lasseter will be getting his own character in the movie. It's a pick-up truck called, John Lassetire. Check out the details here. http://www.firstshowing.n et/2011/john-lasseter-get s-his-own-character-in-ca rs-2-john-lassetire/

Gotta agree I'm a bit dissapointment in Pixar's choice to pick up on cars for a sequal.  It is their weakest movie, but the new trailer shows it could be fun though. Let's not forget their main audience are kids, we just happen to be big kids that love animation. Toy Story 3 showed they know what their doing, but I would love to see something new altogether from Pixar again. Ah well, cross our fingers and hope that Cars 2 will be one of those suprise hits.
