Really NOT as bad as I expected it to be or these type of movies are. This 1 was actually pretty good which suprised me.I expected more of a sappy crappy romantic comedy but this was more of a story about a TV producer & her struggle to bring up the ratings at a last place morning show while trying to keep the 2 cohosts from ripping each other apart.

"Morning Glory" is a film about Becky Fuller (Rachel McAdams) and her career as a television producer. Her life starts to turn upside down after she was fired on her job, found a new one, and struggles on it. Good comedy storyline and Harrison Ford in it are those good reasons to watch it. The story is really good, potentially an inspiring one. Enough comedy. Enough drama. Enough romance. Very nice. I must say, this movie has a smooth sail on the sea. Only distracted me was the character Mike Pomeroy which I question his ability of newscasting. Worth the watch. =)

It's amazing when a movie with a good cast can't seem to come together. Such as the case here with Morning Glory, which has a great setup - a young executive producer (McAdams) tries to turn around a last place morning show by convincing a legendary broadcaster (Ford) to team up with the show's perky co-host (Keaton). Unfortunately, the film tries too hard to make McAdams socially awkward - when will directors realize that people this hot are NEVER this awkward in real life? After the first 20 minutes, Keaton is utterly wasted. The only silver lining is Ford, who plays the gumpy and gruff veteran so well he's the heart of this movie. Netflix this one, if you're interested.

Morning Glory review

It's difficult to make an entertaining picture that is related to television, let alone a news television program. In some cases such as this, it works based on the effective screenplay and performances of the artists. Becky Fuller (Rachel McAdams) works for Daybreak, but dreams of working on the Today show. Experienced journalist Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford) cannot get along with Colleen Peck (Diane Keaton) on the show while Jerry Barnes (Jeff Goldblum) informs Becky that the show will be cancelled if ratings won't increase. Well-acted, very hilarious with sufficient soundtrack. Only qualms this reviewer has is the lack of depth from the plot and other interesting characters other than the 3 stars. Morning Glory is worth viewing because of its witty humor, business of television, …
