There's a scene towards the end of the movie where the main character says something like this: "What are you going to do when all the blinds fall down? It's not exactly like we have a lot more bed sheets!" It was in the moment where I began shaking my head in complete dismay as to what the hell I was watching. The screenplay, the cast, the acting, everything was just terrible. The effects were the only thing going for this film, but even those were either blurry or hidden by bright blue lights. Skyline is horrible and one of the worst movies.of 2010.

The plot of this movie was bad. The acting was bad. I thought that the effects were okay but the rest was just a complete waste of time. The ending was quite dissapointing. This is not something good to watch.

"Skyline" by Yojimbo

A fleet of alien spaceships appears in the skies above L.A. and begin harvesting its inhabitants. Skyline is a bit like watching the events of Independence Day unfold, except instead of in the thick of the action bathed in the charm and charisma of everyone's favourite Fresh Prince, you're watching it with a bunch of bickering, obnoxious, self-obsessed F-listers from a window three miles away. It has all the originality and depth of sophistication of ID4 combined with the sharp, witty dialogue and likeable, beautifully performed characters of Cloverfield (and for those of you poor, deluded fools that didn't realise that Cloverfield was a huge, festering pile of Godzilla sized steamer, just TRY and imagine the sarcasm in my voice...) It really is the worst of both worlds, and as for that …

I cannot fathom how I was able to watch this in theaters. Effects alone cannot make a movie successful. The dying of each character, acting and mindless plot was really disappointing. Effects were present, the realism was sub-par. So many dragging parts, if only the cast and script was well thought of. The ending was even coy, it couldn’t save this film. I had high hopes because of the trailer and cutout poster displayed. Excellent marketing for this pointless picture got to applaud them on that.

"Skyline" is a Sci-Fi - Thriller film set in Los Angeles. It centers on couples and friends whose after partying all night, find themselves trapped in a building with extraterrestrial invaders outside.

Let's start with the actors. Their performance weren't bad- that's it. I remember I was really excited watching this movie after seeing the trailer. Round of applause with its visually appealing effects! but no good note with the sound scoring and mixing. The story? Is there a story? Really? The concept was really good. Maybe they just struggle on the execution, like how they will thrill the viewers which in the end,[SPOILER!!!] they decided to do like final destination, one-by-one, characters will be gone. I waited till it ended, I wished it will turn out to be very smart conclusion. …

i couldn't take this trailer seriously. The part where there's a helicopter showing up and a guy and his girl are looking all hopeful, then some CG tentacles shoot out and snag it: the guy gives the funniest scream ever and i cracked up. Then again, this was at Jackass 3-D so i was in a laughing mood.

Fellow founder Nick and I agree after seeing the trailer that this looks like a sequel to Independence Day - the only thing I see is the alien invaders look a bit more aggressive and as Nick pointed out "Well you'd be pissed off too if you got your butts kicked the first time around." I was hoping for something more original when I read the premise - something along the lines of District 9, but I guess I can't always get what I want. Maybe a rental, but I can't see watching this in theaters.
