Not surprising, a bit boring. The action lacks action. I had great hopes but they didn't come thrue. Could have been a good movie. The beginning was o.k. but at the end the makers didn't take the time to really finish it.

Ben and Sean goes to Russia on a business trip only to discover their sly Swedish business partner, Skyler, already made the deal. Natalie and Anne meet Ben and Sean in a bar where an alien invasion occurs. Characters acted dumb in certain situations, source of the aliens were never delved into and impossible sequences on how some figures managed to escape. The Darkest Hour had cheesy dialogue, uninteresting leads despite its wonderful set-pieces and special effects. It's ironic how one of this reviewers most hated film Skyline had a figure named Skyler. Just plain ridiculous in all levels such as the acting and concept.

This movie was one of those films that the trailer makes it look quite awesome however it was a huge dud! The storyline of aliens who garner strength or power from any sort of electrical power source made me at times chuckle as i remembered throughout of an old 68 Spiderman cartoon featuring the villain Electro.Stupid premise with the only thing going for it was that it stars Emile Hirsch. Emile has starred in quite a few stinkers so to speak( Taking Woodstock, Speed Racer were bad) (Into The Wild, Lords Of Dogtown were good) however he has an enjoyable presence on screen majorilly for being as cool as he is in his roles. The rest of the cast are not worth mentioning as they were all blah. If you are a fan of major cheesy type sci-fi films then by all means proceed however me...I'll …

There are generally two kinds of movies. One is that which will entertain to the best that lacks a strong plot and great lead cast. Another is one with, a good plot and some terrific lead roles. The darkest hour gets the third position, which has amateur actors and a silly plot. but still I can mention that there were some chilly moments and also necessary dialogs to make us realize the actual idea of the screenwriter. The darkest hour borrows the principles of physics, and utilizes to the highest imaginary level and creates a different alien attack we have ever seen. This movie is loaded with huge special effects and lots of sound which was very loud and barely tolerable. The major problem with the movie is that though the proceedings were interesting, it still lacks logic and despite …
