This movie was a lot better then the first and more fun to watch. The action was fun to watch and the last battle at the end was epic.

This movie was definitely better than the first Expendables because of the comedy and plot. I loved Liam Hemsworth appearance. The new addition of Liam was very good. I also liked the comedy it was a lot funnier than the first movie. I found myself laughing a lot more in this movie than the first movie. I loved all the surprise appearances of different action stars. It was a very good film. Very well done Simon West

the bunch is here just for the fun of it, and rescuing some "cliches" from death is ... bad taste. no smart dialog, nothing new. the end is amazing: they should never do that againg. it's a failed movie.

Review Expendables 2

Well, you get what this film actually stands for : fantastic action, embellished with fighting scenes, infused with terrible acting, a wafer-thin story and lots of not so funny one-liners. If Arnold Schwarzenegger makes one more “I’ll be back” joke, I hope they shoot him in on the spot.
That’s what the Expendables are anayway. A collection of old legends whose action movies I’ve enjoyed during the last 20 years. They are the founders of the action genre from the 80s. The idea to collect them in 1 film was original, but with this 2nd film I start to get a “yes-we-know-it-and-we-have-seen-it-before” feeling.
The best parts were reserved for Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone. The rest is just needed to fill up the cast. But in the area of action, they are the …

"The Expendables 2" by Yojimbo

Sly and his team of fellow gun-totin' geriatrics is called in to retrieve a computer hard drive that contains a map showing the whereabouts of a mine full of plutonium. The Expendables is probably the film the term 'geriaction' was coined for and it was a load of obnoxious, braindead, gratuitous shit. For the sequel, we once again dive into the world of the American male mid-life crisis which contains the same cocktail of fat-necked has-beens exterminating the most villainous villains imaginable with a variety of weapons grade phalli whilst reliving the good old days of the Cold War. The original film's gleeful representation of some unnecessarily graphic violence was its downfall but thanks to the addition of some innocent villagers to protect, this is far more in the spirit of classic …

Van Damme does the villain proud in this...

After finding the original Expendables a total disappointment I had to say I was really leery on the idea of a sequel happening let alone watching it. On that note I finally sat down last night and watched Expendables 2 and it was so much better and I really had a good time watching it. I don't know if it was cause Sly decided to hand the directing job over too Simon West (Con Air, The Mechanic(2011)prod. on Black Hawk Down) and went with focusing on the screenplay and acting? Or this time round's casting which included a couple more of my fave 80's action heroes Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme (Who I thought nailed the bad guy role in this and should do it more often) Sly's hiring or getting them back to work of these old stars is what intrigues me about these films in the first …

I wasn't fond of the first film. I don't intend to put myself through a sequel.

The additional female was a nice touch. Seeing yin yang go was kinda sad since he brought a bit humor to the franchise. Bring in some aikido action = Steven Segal! They still need to improve screenplay since some lines were still iffy. Better action and a much deeper plot than the first though.

Now that I've seen it - it's pretty much like the first: action, things blowing up, the guys (and one gal) having a lot of fun - don't expect much else, but as long as you're in the mood for this type of film, it will deliver exactly what you'd hope for.
