Basically it is the movie ‘Training Day’ only set in Chinatown. Chow Yun-Fat is cool as the dirty cop taking a rookie (Wahlberg) under his wing. There’s a tense car chase that is pretty well staged. The mood is sleazy and no one can be trusted. As grimy as things get, you really buy the friendship formed between the two leads.
