Run, don't walk--far far away from this flick. This film is a poor man's Underworld. A cross between twilight, teen wolf--sporting costumes pulled out of the matrix. It fails to shift any higher than second gear and keeps you there for over 2 agonizing hours. You will yawn at actions sequences, be baffled at casting choices, and left wondering why characters dialogues and interactions never seem to truly connect. If you really want to watch this, which I strongly recommend against, but don't want to pay for it, just go digging in your nearest trash receptacle and you'll probably find one. If not, just pop in the half eaten waffle you found there instead and you'll get about the same level of enjoyment.

"Twilight" crap

"Harry Potter - Twilight - X-men - Titanic " in a belch causing cocktail

I was expecting a fun fantasy film but was catapulted into a mix of different films after a good half hour. It's apparently a movie based (again) on a successful series of children's books. I haven't read any of these since I never heard of them. I have absolutely no problem with that, but I expect that in spite I haven't read any of those books, it would be nice to understand what it's all about anyway. I must admit that after an hour I still didn't have a clue what it was about !
The beginning was promising and extremely good. I hoped it would go on with this zest.
The mythological runes, murder in the Gothic club, realizing that she can only see the Shadowhunters and later the invasion of her mother's …

Oh What Could've Been...

When it comes to "book movies", I've learned to set the bar low. They're never how you imagine them, they take things out, etc. I understand they have to compress a 300+ page book into a 2 hour movie. And that's never easy.

I felt this movie tried to stray too far into Twilight territory. You have your dark, brooding male character who walks around wearing a hoodie (despite using a magic to make himself invisible) until we need to see his face for the lingering shots. The co-dependent female character (though not to the degree of Twilight), and a rag-tag group of throw-away supporting characters.

Which is disappointing because the story is pretty solid and could've stood on its own. The dialogue in the book was snappy and witty, none of that was present here. I couldn't tell if it …

vampires demons ware werewolves

vampires ,werewolves and demons. This was like a cross between Twilight, a episode of supernatural and
Beautiful creatures..
Not a bad movie a teen girl grows up not knowing the truth about her mother her family and herself but after her mother is kidnapped by demons the truth unravels thanks to the help of some hunters , enter the love interest and soppy twilight moments .which all leads to a lot of truths coming out and the final showdown at the end . i wont spoil the little twists.
Its not a terrible movie but it does have a lot of faults and flaws , first her friend who was pretty pointless and without spoiling the story was left unresolved , The love interest who goes down stairs to check whats going on but seems to take forever to show up after all hell broke loose lol. very …

I've already seen this twice, I liked it so much. Acting is great, story line great. Not too much romance, but lots of different relationship issues, gay, straight, friend, boyfriend, parent, sibling, it has it all. And lots and lots of action. I loved Lily and Jamie together. Their chemistry was intense and very believable. I can't wait for the next movie. It is well worth seeing if you want entertained.

I'm a fan of the books but I have to admit I was not satisfy with the trailer. I don't like the choice of actors especially Lily Collins because simply she is too pretty for the part. Also from the trailer I got the impression that they haven't cured the details enough, everything looks really fake and weird (the tattoos, the red wig etc). Obviously I need to watch the movie to be able to judge it but I don't have high expectations because once again Hollywood managed to turn a dark fantasy …

Another YA series turned into a movie - I haven't touched this one, but the trailer has me interested - the casting looks solid, the story intriguing - I just hope it doesn't stray too far into Twilight territory.Anyone a fan of the book? I want to know what I'm getting into.
