Chick flick to the core. It's cliche in it's story arc, but there are some good scenes spread about. Not my type of film, but I could sit through it more times if I had to. At least the dancing is entertaining.

I could have done without some of the melodramatic backstory, but the strong romance between the leads is compelling and the film has its share of captivating dance sequences, including the famous "Time of Your Life" lift.
