As far as the found footage sub-genre of horror film making goes, Amber Alert is one of the worst of the bunch. The first hour consists of enduring the two lead actors fighting and arguing endlessly as they follow the car being driven by a potential child kidnapper/molester. As this is going on, any feeling of tension is lost due the fact that the viewer would rather smash their television screen than have to sit with this insufferable duo for another second. Finally the would-be depressing/tense ending comes along, it's all very predictable and ends exactly how you would expect it to. Clever concept, absolutely horrible execution.
