Well acted depiction the most notorious scandal in American baseball, the Black Sox scandal in 1919. It shows athletes not as icons or heroes but indecisive and greedy individuals grappling with the consequences of their fateful choice to throw the World Series. It's got a big cast of rising stars such as Charlie Sheen, John Cusack, David Strathairn and Michael Rooker delivering good performances.
