Plot: Based on the true story of thoroughbred Mine That Bird - a group of New Mexico cowboys find themselves out of their element when their crooked-footed racehorse finds itself in a position to race in the Kentucky Derby. In addition to having none of its actual conflict sourcing from the horse or horse racing, it retreads the same familiar story arc from other films like "Seabiscuit" and "Secretariat," but unlike those films, "50 to 1" leaves little to no lasting impression.
