A low-budget gem that manages to subvert both the cliched vampire and found-footage style horror in to something it can call its own. Plus, Derek Lee and Clif Prowse (essentially playing versions of themselves) look like they're having a great time with it. And they got to travel around the world to shoot the film in gorgeous locations to boot.

I thought this was a good film. I rated this movie 3 stars because it had great make-up and the effects were pretty believable. The acting wasn't to bad either. I recommend this to all of the horror/thriller movie buffs out there. I can definitely say that this is truly a Horror Focumentary ( FAKE DOCUMENTARY) I won't soon forget.

This terrifying horror thriller follows two best friends who set out on the trip of a lifetime around the world. Their journey, documented every step of the way, soon takes a dark and unexpected turn after an encounter with a beautiful woman in Paris leaves one of them mysteriously afflicted. This movie is just a cliche found footage movie but for some reason i liked this movie.

The moment "Afflicted" began, I sighed and thought to myself : "Please not again such a terrible found footage movie ..." Usually they look like a documentary with dreadful amateurish movie clips It always seems as if it is filmed by some grandmother who forgot that she has to push the red button again so it will stop recording. Afterwards when viewing the film, it's a series of mundane and monotonous blurry images which sway around all the time. Not exactly something you can charm me with.
Of course there are exceptions in this genre. The mother of all found footage films "Cannibal Holocaust" received a cult status. It was (I think) a movie that used this new element for the first time. David Carter's quote is …
