'The Best' Unintentional Comedy

Another movie based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. And it's another stinker full of the exact same tropes being presented ever so very slightly different. The movie simultaneously shows the before and after of this couple's relationship, their high school days of first love and their current twenty years later reunion. Every single thing that happens in this movie could be considered the most predictably cliched and cheesy situations assembled for a romantic story. And they all play out in the most cliched and cheesy fashion through the acting and direction. There was no getting emotionally involved in this relationship. No, it got so silly that it turned into a hilarious unintentional comedy. It was tiresome for the many shortcomings, but I wound up laughing continuously. Can't say …

Thank god this movie floped at the box office, because this is just romance porn all over it.
The story is about a couple who were once an item in high school find themselves meeting back up after each returns to their small home town.
It took me a while to sit through this movie and boy did it take a while. But after seeing it... I want my time back, because this is one of the worst romance movies I've seen this year. You know those really bad cliche romance movies with no excitement just boring and uninspiring story that's been done a thousand times, well this movie takes the cake from being the worse of the worse. Name every bad romance cliche that you could think of right now, well it's all in this crappy movie.
