A so-so action thriller that tries too hard to make itself relevant. With such a talented cast (including recent Academy Award winner Mark Rylance as well as Idris Elba, Javier Bardem and Ray Winstone), I was hoping for so much more but everything gets bogged down as they try to spin a big conspiracy and Sean Penn is no Liam Neeson when it comes to aging action stars. Not a terrible film, but definitely one to put on the back burner for a rainy day.
