Rian Johnson takes the saga in an intriguing new direction, and "The Last Jedi" will be one of the most discussed "Star Wars" films for a long long time as a result, for better or worse.

'The Last Jedi' - Epic, experimental, awesome.

The Force Awakens brought audiences back to Star Wars and what they love. Rogue One put the 'War' back into Star Wars. The Last Jedi brings back the mythic elements and the epic cosmic scale of the long running space opera franchise.

The First Order is winning and the Resistance forces are on the run from the increasingly (and absurdly) gigantic doomsday weapons hot on their trail. Rey, Finn, and Poe all come to their own conclusions to how the war can be won. Rey ventures to bring Luke Skywalker back into the fight; Finn goes on a solo spy mission, and Poe well, he just wants to blow things up. They have to contend with cautious military commanders, the evil machinations of Supreme Leader Snoke, and the vengeful near mad Sith apprentice Kylo Ren.

The Last Jedi - Review

"This is not going to go the way you think"

That line right there basically sums it all. When you predicted everything that's going to happen, then suddenly get the carpet pulled underneath at the last minute. You either like or dislike Rian Johnson choices, but at least it's going in a new direction and not another remake.

As Kylo Ren put it: "Let the past die"

What I love about 'The Last Jedi' is how it doesn't care what you think about 'Star Wars. While not insulting you as the audience. Taking fan theories or the mystery 'Force Awakens' stet up, and shut it down completely. Instead, what we get is a bold message about are our places and where to find hope.

Rian Johnson absolutely kills it with his direction. Perfectly framed shots and the magnificent cinematography, made …

The Last Jedi Review

So I've seen it, the latest Star Wars movie in the franchise, Episode VIII, also known as "The Last Jedi". What can I say about "The Last Jedi"? I'm glad to say that I enjoyed the movie very much, it was probably the best Star Wars film since "Empire", though that does not mean that problems are absent in this film. It isn't a remake of the former, though it does inject varied doses of throwbacks, plus some plot elements are taken directly from it and "Return of the Jedi". The visuals are great, there is plenty of action to be enjoyed and the story keeps you interested all along. Disclaimer: With this review I wanna express my thoughts regarding some aspects of the film, and to that I have to get into spoiler territory. Usually I try to keep my reviews as spoiler-free as possible, but …

I hated this movie, it felt like I was watching a Star Wars parody instead of an official Star Wars movie. I liked The Force Awakens and Rogue One, but The Last Jedi is a disaster.

Guys let's be honest it wasn't that great of a movie, as far as the Disney franchise is concerned at least. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it was horrible, but it really only had one compelling story alone... The rest was really filler content.

I didn't have an issue with it, either and, yes, I consider myself a huge Star Wars fan. At least among my immediate family the sentiment is the same, though I know it's not perfect, I don't understand the absolute hate it has brought on.

The fanbase is split down the middle now because of this film. That said, I enjoyed it.
