Better than about 95% of other summer blockbusters, the furiously entertaining and cool as ice "Baby Driver" finds Edgar Wright in top stylized form.

Edgar Wright crafts a film with both style and substance. It should have won all the awards for editing for all the frantic action is timed perfectly with the superb soundtrack.Car chases, shootouts, young love and at least three songs with "Baby" in the title - one of my favorites from 2017.

"Baby Driver" by Yojimbo

A music-obsessed getaway driver is blackmailed into helping commit an armed robbery but his conscience puts him at odds with the rest of his crew.

Baby Driver is a post-modern heist movie from writer-director Edgar Wright, best known for his work with Simon Pegg on Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz. Baby Driver - Review

I've been a fan of Edger Wright for awhile, as every film he directs I will watch and support it the best I could. Edgers way of visual comedy and know when to switch tones is achievement of it's own. And I know a lot of film makers struggle with that or don't know how to pull it off. What Edger managed to pull off in "Baby Driver" should convince film studios or the average audience member, he's one of the most gifted directors alive right now. The stunt driving and the brilliant coordination with each scene, it's hard not to love it. This was …

Baby Driver is a wild ride of fun and style.

Baby Driver is nothing necessarily new in terms of storytelling but it's a fantastic example of how style can have substance at the same time. Edgar Wright directs a smart slick caper with exciting car chases, snappy dialogue, and colorful characters.
Baby (Ansel Elgort) works for a cunning criminal (Spacey) as their crew's getaway driver. Due to a childhood accident, his hearing isn't up to speed but he can hone in his senses to superhuman degree via playing pop music. It's almost as though his whole vehicle becomes in sync with the songs. However, Baby is weary of his dangerous lifestyle and aims to run away with a newly found sweetheart (James). His amiable but violent companions have other plans for him though.
The breezy pace and earnest romance never seem at odds with the …
