A good enough action flick that really plays up the whole protective mother angle, though Gabrielle Union is certainly fun to watch (even if it is a bit much - she's a mother, not a Marine). The characters are cookie-cutter, but it keeps this moving fairly quickly. Good for at least one watch.

"Breaking In" boils down to a reverse version of David Fincher's "Panic Room," but without the good performances, interesting characters and plot developments, or flair for style.
