I'm 27-year old about to finish my second art degree, and still, this film hit me hard. I appreciate that the drama turned out to be lighter than what most would expect given the heavy premise and context of the story. I think this is the strength of the film overall, it didn't seem to force the emotion, it was just naturally there. A typical story presented well enough to get the message across and to be so much relatable.

"Blinded by the Light" is the feel-good success story you expect it to be, but it's also a coming-of-age fable about identity as well as a tribute to music legend Bruce Springsteen.
