Plot: During WWII, fourth-generation Army Col. William McNamara finds himself
leading a group of POWs in a brutal German camp. Trying to instill hope
where there is little to be found he finds a chance to escape when a black
POW is accused of murdering another man. Enlisting former law student and
now-lieutenant Thomas W. Hart he sets his plan in motion - but soon
realizes it may come with too high of cost.

1st Lt. Thomas Hart (Farrell) was captured by the Germans. Hart discuss his interrogation to Colonel William McNamara (Willis). Staff Sergeant Vic W. Bedford (Cole Hauser) is murdered and a guard sees 2nd Lt. Lincoln A. Scott (Terrence Howard) and is accused of the act. Hart is requested by McNamara to defend him in a court-martial proceeding. The score and dramatic scenes were amazing. Pace of the story tends to slow down towards the middle and only picks up after the murder, which lacked sufficient scenes of the actual act. Furthermore, insufficient action for this type of genre were due to the focus on the flawed characters. Screenplay was good with a sample line from Col.
