Plot: The 70s are in full swing and a 12-year-old Gru wants nothing more than to be the world's most vile villain. Even as he idolizes the super-villain group, Vicious 6, he, along with his loyal Minions, take the first steps in crafting the perfect lair, inventing weapons and pulling off some missions. When the leader of the Vicious 6, Wild Knuckles, is let go - Gru sees an opening to join the group - only for things to backfire spectacularly. It was fine entertainment but I feel this entry is missing something that made previous Despicable Me (and the first Minions) really pop. Still, for a family-friendly fun time, you could do much worse.

The Minions once again set out on a wonky misadventure filled with antics and mischief, but as usual the results are mild and mixed.

The funniest and most entertaining thing that happened in the cinema wasn't the movie itself, but how an entire audience, who were mostly adults, gave this movie round of applause, with one guy saying, "that was the best movie I've ever seen". I saw this movie in Dubai, as I was on my holiday around the time of its release. So, the trend is going international.
